Meet Vybe

Tech whisperer. Startup scaler. Infrastructure ninja. With over 33 years riding the chaotic wave of startups and helping Fortune 500 giants scale up, Vybe has turned wild tech dreams into structured, high-performing realities.

Born in Champaign, Illinois, Vybe spent his early years in Waterloo, Canada before settling in East Lansing, Michigan, the academic backyard of Michigan State University, by the age of five. Surrounded by a strong intellectual community, he found his passion for technology early. In high school, he even shared an AP Computer Science class with none other than Larry Page, the future co-founder of Google.

His early career milestones were just as formative. Vybe played a key role in developing one of the very first cable modem networks in partnership with MSU, TCI Cable (later AT&T Broadband), and Zenith Electronics. This project helped lay the groundwork for the broadband internet most of us take for granted today.

From there, his career has been a nonstop sprint through innovation and transformation. He’s led the charge on everything from building MySpace’s image optimization pipeline to launching BabyStyle’s retail infrastructure. He’s consulted with heavyweights like EMC, Nokia, and TCI Cable, and helped architect robust, high-availability systems for companies that scaled from thousands to millions in monthly revenue.

At the heart of it all are two things: people and technology. Vybe doesn’t just build systems, he builds teams, culture, and long-term momentum. He mentors, architects, scales, and when necessary, isn’t afraid to break a standard or two to make something even better.

He believes in best practices, but not dogma. Innovation and execution go hand-in-hand in his world. Whether it’s reviving legacy infrastructure, calming startup chaos, or holding his own on a spicy panel debate, Vybe shows up ready to build and push things forward.
